1. INTRODUCTION

Turnaround Arts California, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation (“Organization,” “we,” “us,” or “our“), operates our website to share about our work and collect interest and donations (collectively, the “Services“).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our website at turnaroundartsca.org (the “Site”) or otherwise interact with us.

2. SCOPE

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information that we process in the context of providing the Services to program participants and supporters located in the United States. It does not cover: (a) Publicly available information from government records; or (b) De-identified or aggregated data that cannot reasonably identify you.

We do not purchase personal data from data brokers.

  • Provide Services –manage donations; send acknowledgements.
  • Operate the Site – maintain functionality, troubleshoot, and analyze performance.
  • Communicate – respond to inquiries; send marketing (if you have not opted out).
  • Security & Fraud Prevention – detect malicious activity and protect our customers.
  • Legal & Compliance – satisfy tax, accounting, or other regulatory obligations.

6. SHARING & DISCLOSURE

We do not sell or share personal information. We disclose information only as needed to track website analytics and utilize our marketing and fundraising CRM (Bloomerang).

7. YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

  • Right to Know – request the categories or specific pieces of personal information we have collected.
  • Right to Delete – request deletion of personal information we collected from you (subject to exceptions).
  • Right to Correct – request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing – We currently do not sell/share. If this changes, we would adhere to Global Privacy Controls.
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information – we use sensitive personal information only to complete transactions; therefore, no separate opt-out is required.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination – we will not deny goods or charge different prices if you exercise your rights as listed above.

8. DATA SECURITY

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures. Despite safeguards, no system is 100 % secure; you use the Site at your own risk.

9. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Turnaround Arts will also retain usage data for internal analysis purposes. Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our website, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

10. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our website is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided Turnaround Arts California with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
