Michele Hillen-Noufer is the Executive Director of NorCal Arts and an arts integration specialist who provides training and professional development for educators throughout California. She has authored curricula integrating Theatre Arts with Social-Emotional Learning and Conflict Resolution. As adjunct faculty at Sacramento State University, she developed and is a supervisor for the university’s Theatre and Dance Teaching Credential program. Michele has directed, taught, and choreographed theatre for over 25 years and is passionate about helping young people achieve their goals in the performing arts, particularly students with learning differences. She is a founding board member of the Sacramento Alliance for Regional Arts (SARA), an arts advocacy nonprofit, and was recently selected as a Turnaround Arts Coach for the Sacramento region. A professional actor for more than 30 years in theatre, film, and television, Michele is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity Association and holds a master’s degree in education.
